Bruce and Judi Hall — Owners, Applewood Motorcar
Bruce’s love for cars began at a very young age by racing Quarter Midgets in the mid-50’s. He and his family were involved in sports cars, drag racing, snowmobile racing, go-cart racing, etc. After graduating from WV Institute of Technology with Degrees in both Business and Mechanical Engineering, it only took a few years to determine self-employment was his path. His entrepreneur spirit began with his first business venture in April, 1977.
Nearly 20 years ago, Bruce’s love for cars was rekindled when he established a very small enclosed transportation business. A short time later, he established a collector car restoration business which produced numerous national show winners.
After moving back to WV, over 10 years ago, the focus on the transporting portion of the business began to grow, leading to the business that now thrives as Applewood Motorcar Transport. He still continues to provide appraisals as well as expert testimony in some legal cases.
In September, 2007 Judi left her job as Director of Marketing for a National fast food franchisee where she had worked for 17 years. In her search for employment, it occurred to her that she could probably be as much value to Bruce and his growing business as she would be to anyone else out there in the “corporate world”. As it turned out, she has been a valuable contribution to Applewood and the “fit” is perfect.
Judi is also a former High School Teacher of 11 years. She is a graduate of Fairmont State University in Fairmont, WV with a Degree in Business Education. She worked on her Master’s Degree at WVU while raising a family.
When you call the office, she will probably be the voice on the phone – that is ….. if she hasn’t slipped out to spend some time with their 5 Grandchildren.
Stephen Riley
Next, let us introduce you to Stephen Riley. Stephen is from Flintstone, MD and has been our friend and employee since the early 1990’s. During that time, he owned his own Restoration Facility and has a good deal of experience with domestic and imported vehicles.
He is a graduate of McPherson College in McPherson, KS with a degree in Antique Auto Restoration. Stephen rebuilt his first engine when he was just 7 years old.
He is the proud Father of two lovely young girls by the names of Kayla, age 8 and Alyssa, age 6.
Because of his background in restoration, Stephen understands the importance of taking special care of your vehicle.
Tim Wright
Timothy (Better known as Tim) Wright is another of our CDL Drivers. Tim has been with Applewood since early 2008. Prior to coming to Applewood, Tim was a transporter for other companies for a year. He has transported in 46 of the 48 continental states. Tim is a real communicator and our customers love him.
He hails from Lowgap, NC where he lives with his wife, Jeanette who is a Registered Nurse and their four children, Luke, age 19; Allie, age 8; Landon, age 5 and Abby, age 3.
